NHK番組「8Kテクネ」のコンテンツとして制作した８K映像作品。８Kの超解像度によって生じるスケール感を見失う現象を映像手法として捉え、日常によく見かける石を使って対極的なスケールの惑星間旅行を描く。撮影は専用装置とマクロ撮影で行い、CGで制作した宇宙船が合成されている。ディレクション、美術、VFX制作、音楽を担当。
2018年 NHK 8K放送、Ars Electronica Deep Space 8Kにて上映。

Cosmos under Foot is an 8K resolution video work directed for the Japanese TV Program “8K Techne”.
8K super-resolution gives us an inherent phenomenon that confuses us about scale sensitivity for subjects.
Cosmos under Foot treats this phenomenon as one of the videomaking techniques and turns natural stones, ordinary objects in small scale world to huge scale planets. This work depicts an interplanetary spaceflight by using macro shooting and CGI spaceships.
